Timeframes for requesting holiday
- Holidays 1 week or longer need to be requested with at least 3 weeks notice.
- Holidays of a day or two should be requested at least 3 days in advance unless it’s an emergency/unforeseen circumstance.
- Holidays for longer than a total of 3 days should not be taken during probation unless pre-approved prior to joining.
- Exemptions will be at the discretion of your manager.
When to use your vacation days
- We work flexibly at Junction meaning we work remotely and employees can adjust their start and end times, as long as you complete your required tasks or hours. We work across GMT and EDT timezones so expect at least 3 hours crossover with your day.
- If you're going to be out of action for a chunk of the day - please consider booking off half a day vs trying to fit in those hours out of your usual hours.
What to do when you're on holiday
- Set your slack emoji and an OOO on your email depending on your role so everyone is aware
- Please write a holiday handover to make sure everyone on the team has the context they need whilst you're away, so you can switch off
